Ever imagined having an app that lets you generate creative images simply with natural language prompts? Generating AI images that can be edited and enhanced further to meet your personalized requirements is all possible now with the release of Midjourney. However, the Midjourney app have certain limitations as well.

So in this article, we will look into the different ways to use Midjourney app on your PC, Android, or iPhone.

Does Midjourney have an app?

Midjourney does not have an official app. There are some third-party apps, but there was no release of an application from the developer’s side. 

Midjourney works only with Discord. And there is an official app, Discord, available for all users. So you can use the Discord app to interact with or control Midjourney’s services.

Does Midjourney have a desktop app?

No, there is no Midjourney app for Desktop. There are third-party apps that you will find on different sites, and most of them do claim to provide the same functionality as Midjourney. But these are not official apps.

You can now use a browser client to access Discord or sign in to Midjourney. Or you can also use the Discord app on your PC to make it work through an app.

How to Download Midjourney app on iPhone and Android?

There is no official Midjourney application. And even with the browser, the user can use Midjourney only with Discord. So if you want to use Midjourney on an app on your iPhone, you can do it by using the Discord app.

Let’s discuss how you can download the Discord app and use it to operate Midjourney with it.

  • Open the App Store on your iPhone and Play store on Android.
  • Search for Discord, and once you find it, download it to your device.
  • Now open up Safari or chrome and go to Midjourney’s site.
  • Click on the Join Beta button and then click on the Discord invitation.
  • You will be redirected to Discord’s app. 
  • Log in to the Discord app.
  • You will be redirected to the Midjourney channel. Click on the ship-like Midjourney icon you see on the left menu.
  • You will see Newcomer rooms on the Midjourney channel. 
  • When you are ready, use the /imagine command in the beginner’s room and describe what images you want.
  • Wait for a minute to generate the photos. Midjourney will create multiple results as per your description.
  • Click on the U below any of the images generated to enlarge it and upscale it however you want.
  • Finally, message the image to yourself by tapping the Envelope icon.

Conclusion

Midjourney app does not exist as of now. But even if it did, it won’t operate on its own. Midjourney lets user interact with it only through Discord. So until Midjourney starts working even without Discord, we should not expect a specific Midjourney app. For now, we can only use the Discord app.
