GPT-4 Playground: Where AI Language Processing Meets Fun and Innovation

| Updated on:

Prior versions of language models like GPT-3 have been extremely useful in assessing Playground and generating the content, asking queries, and more. But with the launch of GPT-4, users can access the chat completion Playground feature by subscribing to the API.

Even though GPT-4 API is not yet available, still developers can join the waitlist to ensure early access.

The latest demonstration released by OpenAI on their youtube channel showcased the functionality of GPT-4 in Playground and how developers can gain maximum benefits through GPT-4.

In this post, we’ll look into the features and capabilities of GPT-4 Playground and how you can gain access to GPT-4 API.

OpenAI GPT-4 Playground

GPT-4 is a brand new language model launched by OpenAI with a new range of capabilities and features, along with the capability of vision inputs.

The live streaming released by OpenAI on 14th March, through their youtube channel, showcased how developers can utilize GPT-4 to generate functioning websites using an image and gain maximum benefits from the model.

The demo also included a comparison of the GPT-4 model on Playground to generate a summarization of a blog post. While GPT-3.5 was unable to summarize the article, GPT-4 in text completion Playground delivered results within a few seconds.

Another major improvement of GPT-4 is its ability to process and develop responses using about 25,000 words compared to GPT-3 which contained a word limit of 3,000 words.

However, developers need to first join the waitlist for GPT-4 API, to access this language model and its benefits.

Available after getting access to the GPT-4 API

The Chat Completions Playground feature is a part of the API Kit. Therefore, to access this feature, developers need to first access the API, by joining the waitlist for GPT-4 API. To join the waitlist, developers need to follow these steps:

  • Navigate to this link Join Waitlist or visit OpenAI’s web page.
  • Enter your details asked on the site such as First name, last name, Organization ID, etc
  • Tap on the option “Join Waitlist” available at the bottom and you will be added to the waiting list for GPT-4 API.

Once access to GPT-4 API is granted by OpenAI, developers can start generating content, websites, and more through GPT-4 Playground.

About OpenAI GPT-4 Playground

To access GPT-4 playground’s chat completions, developers need to acquire access to the new GPT-4 API. The demonstration of GPT-4 streamed live on OpenAI’s Youtube account showcased how developers can utilize GPT-4 in Playground and gain benefits.

OpenAI’s live stream disclosed functions and capabilities of OpenAI Playground chat completion when a task to summarize a blog post was tested on both GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.

While GPT-3.5 was unable to summarize the post, GPT-4 was successfully able to summarize the blog post easily. Users can access this live stream on OpenAI’s youtube channel themselves and gain knowledge on the capabilities of GPT-4.

Once OpenAI has accepted your request for the GPT-4 API, you can easily use the chat completion of Playground with the GPT-4 model and access all its advanced features available.
